 Out Now !! SHR09 : Criaturas " La Oscuriad Continua "

CRIATURAS hails from Austin, TX, with members of other great local punk acts such as Deskonocidos and Vaaska,Impalers and Kurakka and ex-members of bands like Severed Head Of State and Signal Lost.  Their music can be described as a mix between Discharge and Paralisis Permanente with traces of GISM, Motorhead or Ultimo Resorte,  combining the rawness and aggression with some darkish melodic touch.

Criaturas describes themselves as “unholy rock and roll”

 Out Now !! SHR08 : Lesion - II ep - Cassette Tapes

New HC/ Black Metal Punk Stompers from Copenhagen,Denmark.

Lesion is as dark as Copenhagen raw punk gets,Extraordinarily harsh for K-Town."Like Deathcrush era Mayhem sans corpse paint"

The midtempo, gnarly vocals and sludged riffs blend into a wall of noise and distortion, and it's just great stuff. This is their second release, and although the production is beyond rough cut

And so should any fan of midtempo raw punk.

Clever and straight up scary vocals (what's in the singer Mortens head?!) match the riffs just perfect.

"Sectarian rite" is perhaps the best example mixing an almost blackmetal riffpiece with the lyrics:

"Severance from sin - a ceremony in ecstasy". Evil!

Out Now !! SHR07 : Nü-klē-ər Blast Suntan - Ferocious Mix -Cassette Tapes

This is dark, fast, crusty, punk with nods to psych rock, black metal and some truly fucked up version of bleak Southern sounds. Their style combines often badly-done genres touched on in punk, yet NÜ-KLĒ-ƏR BLAST SUNTAN rolls them into some truly creative and exciting tracks. The guitar work is fucked up and weird, like this guy learned how to play guitar listening to HAWKWIND on the wrong speed (yeah, everyone has said that about this band, but listen to this for reals!), with a warped record on a turntable belt that was a about to give out. There is order to the song composition here, but not one that punks are used to and all the formulaic shit that keeps these tracks together is obliterated by the unpretentious creativity of this band. These songs will take you to sonic places you didn’t know you even liked. Fuck yeah. - MaximumRocknRoll
